Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness

These are not just words from our founding fathers — they are the core of America’s promise. Without life, liberty has no meaning. Without liberty, happiness cannot be pursued.
These values remind us that every American — and especially every Texan — deserves protection, freedom, and the opportunity to achieve their own success. They also affirm a natural right — the right to protect yourself, your family, and your way of life. This is the foundation of conservative values, are the principles I will uphold.
Life → protecting the unborn, defending the right to self-defense, and maintaining strong law-and-order policies.
Liberty → limiting government intrusion, supporting free speech, and protecting Christian values.
Pursuit of Happiness → emphasizing individual responsibility, free markets, property rights, and the ability for families to thrive without excessive government interference.
“The American Dream is alive. If you work hard, stay disciplined, and never give up, you can achieve anything.” –Charlie Kirk

Family Values
Family is the foundation of America. Strong families build strong communities, and strong communities build a strong nation.
Faith, hard work, love, and responsibility are values passed down through family. They teach us to respect life, protect liberty, and give our children the chance to pursue happiness.
I believe in defending family values — not just in words, but in action — by supporting policies that strengthen parents, protect children, and preserve the traditions that hold our communities together.

Putting Conservative Values to Work
I’m not here just to carry the banner of conservative values — I’m here to put them to work. That means standing with our ranchers, farmers, small businesses, college students, and working families who are being squeezed by high costs, tariffs, and government red tape.
Because of our current tariff situation, many producers can’t export like they used to — forcing them to sell cheap to processing plants allowing big corporations to profit. Buy American should mean supporting local producers and family businesses, not cutting them out.
Buy American should never mean screwing over our ranchers, farmers, and families.
I support efforts that restore fairness, transparency, and accountability — putting family agriculture, working people, and rural communities ahead of corporate interests. Washington too often forgets places like ours.
Washington cut back support for small family farms while corporate agribusiness and overseas competitors still benefit. I support restoring fair programs that put family agriculture first.
Conservative Leadership, Not Just Talk
I support defending the Second Amendment, push for stronger border security, support the Texas Guard, and stand with law enforcement, educators, and healthcare workers — the people who keep our families safe, our schools strong, and our communities healthy. And I will demand accountability from Washington
Real leadership means listening — and I’ll always put TX-10 families first.
I’m not a career politician — I’m your neighbor. Our communities deserve better, and I’ll be your voice in Washington.
Every Texan deserves a voice — and I’ll work every day to make sure TX-10 is heard.

I support current legislation proposed by Congressman Michael Cloud:
- H.R. 991 — Cost Estimates Improvement Act: Requires the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) and Joint Committee on Taxation to include debt-servicing costs in every bill estimate.
- H.R. 638 — Cost Estimates Improvement Act (Reintroduction): Earlier version of the same measure to ensure Congress can’t hide the true cost of legislation.
📜 Legislative Goals I Support or Will Work to Advance
- The Improved Senior Health Care Act — I support developing legislation to place Medicaid under FICA for long-term stability and to expand Medicare Part A so seniors have better access to both preventive and urgent care.
- Upgrades to the VA Mission Act (proposed) — I intend to introduce legislation to cut bureaucracy and expand access so rural veterans can use local hospitals, urgent care centers, mobile clinics, or telehealth — with a goal of VA-covered care within about 30 minutes of home.
- Fair Trade Act for Agriculture — I support advancing policies that reduce tariffs on farm and ranch equipment and supplies, ensuring competitive pricing and stronger access to global markets for family producers.
- Fair Export Tax for Agriculture — I support reviewing and reforming export tax structures to keep Texas-grown and U.S. agricultural goods competitive overseas, protecting family farms and America’s food supply.
- Energy & Workforce Innovation Act — I support efforts to strengthen energy independence through oil, gas, LNG, nuclear, and next-generation energy production — while creating high-paying jobs in critical industries.
- Freight & Rural Corridors Upgrade Act — I support advancing infrastructure policies that modernize rural highways and rail lines to improve supply chains and farm-to-market access across TX-10.
🏥 Veterans & Healthcare Access
I served 24 years in the United States Army, deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan, and retired in 2020. As a veteran who relies on the VA, I know firsthand what it means to drive long distances just to see a provider.
Right now in TX-10, veterans mainly rely on:
- Austin Outpatient Clinic (Travis County – partial)
- Bryan/College Station VA Clinic (Brazos County)
- Bastrop Vet Center Satellite (linked to Austin Vet Center)
That’s a start — but many rural veterans still drive over an hour just to get care.
- I support strengthening the VA Mission Act so rural veterans can use local hospitals, urgent care centers, or telehealth — fully covered, without red tape or delays.
- I support setting a benchmark that aims to keep average veteran drive times to VA-covered care within 30–45 minutes in every county of TX-10.
Realistic Approach: Anchor clinics in high-density areas (Brazos, Bastrop/Lee, Walker/Travis edges), expand mobile/telehealth units in rural counties (Leon, Trinity, Grimes, Houston, Polk, San Jacinto), and improve transportation for those living 30+ miles from care.
🏥 Rural Healthcare Services
- ✅ Highlight the need for federally funded rural health clinics in counties without hospitals or emergency care.
- ✅ Support efforts to bring stabilization funding for rural hospitals and fair Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement — so ERs stay open and beds remain available.
- ✅ Support expanding local training pipelines — more residency slots and clinical rotations in TX-10 hospitals — to grow homegrown doctors and nurses.
- ✅ Back policies that encourage loan forgiveness, stipends, and housing incentives to recruit and retain nurses, paramedics, and CNAs.
- ✅ Support expanded telehealth through broadband improvements and fair reimbursement — especially in remote areas.
🏥 Fixing Medicaid & Improving Medicare
This isn’t about creating new programs — it’s about making the ones we already have work better.
Medicaid: I support exploring a modest 1% FICA adjustment to place Medicaid under the same stable structure as Medicare. That would end state-by-state fights and help achieve greater consistency in coverage for nursing home residents, disabled Americans, and children in need.
Medicare: Seniors already paid into Part A their entire working lives, but it mostly covers hospital stays. I support expanding Part A to include at least two preventive-care visits and two urgent-care visits per year. Preventive care costs far less than hospitalization, and seniors shouldn’t have to choose between groceries and a doctor visit.
🎓 Education & Workforce Training
I stand with our educators — because strong schools build strong communities.
✅ Support expanding Career & Technical Education (CTE) in welding, electrical, HVAC, drafting, and healthcare so students can train for good-paying jobs close to home.
✅ Support exploring funding for stipends, loan repayment, and housing incentives to recruit and retain teachers in rural schools.
✅ Support efforts to bring in federal grants and infrastructure funding for school construction, facility upgrades, and transportation — so every child has a quality place to learn.
🏗️ Infrastructure: Roads, Coverage & Community
- Roads & Bridges: Support efforts to secure federal and state funding to repair farm-to-market roads and toll-free routes.
- Communication & Coverage: Support efforts to expand cell towers and reliable service across TX-10 — alongside high-speed internet — so families, schools, and first responders aren’t left in dead zones.
- Community Facilities: Support funding for schools, clinics, and public-use buildings in small towns.
- Utilities & Resilience: Support upgrades to water systems, power grids, and storm drainage so towns can grow and withstand disasters.
👮 Law Enforcement
I stand with our law enforcement — because safe communities allow families and businesses to thrive.
I support efforts to provide resources, training, and modern equipment for sheriffs, deputies, and police officers to serve effectively and safely.
🌧️ Rural Flood, Wildfire & Disaster Relief
I support pressing FEMA, SBA, and USDA to cut red tape and speed up disaster aid. Rural Texans shouldn’t wait years to rebuild after storms, fires, or floods.
I support efforts to bring long-term federal funding for rural resilience projects and local partnerships — so communities can prepare instead of just recover.
⚖️ Trade, Agriculture & Workers
Farmers, ranchers, and workers are the backbone of TX-10.
I support fair trade policies that lower costs for family producers, protect access to global markets, and help keep equipment and supplies affordable.
Washington cut support for small family farms while corporate agribusiness and foreign imports keep benefiting. I support restoring fair programs that put family agriculture first.
